Time on site is a pointless measure. You want the site visitor to spend time on site and then do X. Where X can be: buy something, sign up, online chat, download fact sheet, call by phone, visit clinic, etc, etc.

The great thing is that all these actions can be measured themselves - so the bit in the middle (time on site) is a means to an and, and a pointless metric by itself.</description>
